PT. Petrogas Jatim Utama (Perseroda) is a pioneer regional-owned enterprise (BUMD) in Indonesia in managing the participating interest (PI) 10% for the oil and gas working area in East Java. At present, PT. PJU has PI ownership rights in the Cepu and Madura Offshore working areas (WK) and is in the process of obtaining additional potential PI’s for the short term in the next 1 year and gradually obtaining PI’s in all oil and gas working areas in East Java for the long term.
With the experience of realizing the management of PI 10%, PT. PJU has the ability to conduct consulting services to calculate the economy in the oil and gas working area as a recommendation for BUMDs in need.
PT. PJU also has experience and professional human resources in managing EPC in the upstream sector. Several projects have been successfully executed as a form of participation of PT. PJU to support the national energy independence and independence program.
Looking ahead, PT. PJU will be involved for non-PI upstream activities and increased ability in technological mastery in exploration and exploitation.
BUSINESS ACTIVITIES:
I. WK CEPU (PARTICIPATING INTEREST 2.2423%)
The Cepu WK Production Sharing Contract (PSC) was signed on 17 September 2005 with a 30-year PSC contract period so that the contract will expire in 2035.

– Ampolex (Cepu) Pte. Ltd. (24.5%)
– PT. Petrogas Jatim Utama Cendana (PJUC) (2.2423%)
– PT. Facilities of Patra Hulu Cepu (1,0910%)
– PT. Asri Dharma Sejahtera (4.4847%)
– PT. Blora Patragas Hulu (2.1820%)
While the composition of shares in PT. PJUC is as follows:
– PT. PJU (50.6%)
– PT. Raharja Energi Cepu (49%)
– Koperasi Dipertam Jatim (0.4%)
WK Cepu is located southwest of the East Java Basin. This WK has prospect field findings. The Banyu Urip and Jambaran – Tiung Biru fields were discovered in 2001 by Mobil Cepu Ltd and contain oil and natural gas. The Kedung Keris oil field was discovered in 2011. The Alas Tua West Gas Field was discovered in 2010. Going forward there are other opportunities such as the prospects for the exploration of the Nampak, Cendana, Gianti and Pilang fields.
II. WK MADURA OFFSHORE (PARTICIPATING INTEREST 10%)
Madura Offshore PSC is operated by Santos (Madura Offshore) Pty Ltd representing Madura Offshore PSC Joint Venture which consists of three Companies with the following shares:
– Santos (Madura Offshore) Pty Ltd (67.5%)
– Petronas Carigali (PC) Madura Ltd (22.5%)
– PT. Petrogas Pantai Madura (PPM) (10.0%)
While the composition of shares in PT. PPM is as follows:
– PT. PJU (25.5%)
– PT. Wira Usaha Sumekar (BUMD Sumenep) (25.5%)
– Barito Pacific Tbk (49.0%)
Production Sharing Contract (PSC) WK Madura Offshore for 30 years, which will expire in 2027. Gas from the Lapangan Maleo and Lapangan Peluang is channeled to the East Java Gas Pipeline (EJGP) to be sold to PT. PGN and PT. PLN.
WK Madura Offshore PSC is located in the Madura Offshore Work Area in the Madura Strait, with a depth of 64 meters and about 26 km south of Madura Island and 129 km east of Surabaya.
In the WK Madura Offshore there are two gas fields that are already in production namely, Lapangan Maleo and Lapangan Peluang. The Lapangan Peluang is located about 17 km to the Southwest of the Lapangan Maleo. (*)
